LIML Sponsored Racing Team Takes Part In Bob McIntyre Memorial Races

There was disappointment after a promising start for LIML sponsored Jingly Jangly Images Racing at The Bob McIntyre Memorial Races at East Fortune Raceway.

The Bob McIntyre Memorial races are a major annual International event for Classic Racing Motorcycles with riders from Europe, Ireland (North and South) Wales, The Isle of Man and England entering to pitch their skills against the cream of Scottish Classic Racing riders.

This year Arran Based Team LIML by Jingly Jangly Images Racing were competing in the highly competitive Post Classic Junior Class for Machines built after 1967 for two strokes and 1972 for four strokes until 1986.

Thirty Three competitors were entered in the class and the team were highly delighted that rider Callum Laidlaw secured pole position. Things were looking very good in the first race however on the penultimate lap with a large lead over the 2nd placed rider the bike slowed and he was forced to retire.

An electrical fault was diagnosed and unfortunately due to unavailability of spare parts that was it for the weekend. But as they say that's racing!
